SYNOPSIS
Howard Langford, the most successful name in commercial virtual reality entertainment systems,
and a rising star in the world of home computer gaming, is also a man driven by the ghosts of his childhood. Returning from
the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Howard falls prey to driving fatigue and falls asleep at the wheel. When he awakens,
he finds himself on a road he does not recognize. It is a road that will lead him through a strange and dangerous world, where
one's darkest fears and dreams can become reality. Against his will, he embarks on a journey that will force him to face many
horrors, both from the world outside his window, and from places within himself that he has long kept hidden.
An eccentric workaholic who disdains the security of his position for the freedom of the open road, Howard is in no way a hero;
he is a geek in every sense of the word, relying on his intellect rather than his muscles to make his way. During this journey,
however, Howard will be tested on every level of endurance, both physically and mentally, in ways he could never have imagined.
Will he survive, or will he become just another victim of Highway Hypnosis?
