SYNOPSIS
Janet McCullough, like many women in the workplace, is overworked and underpaid, but in this harsh economic climate, cannot afford
to search for another job. As a sales representative for Epic Software, she is often called upon to put in the extra mile when
dealing with her retail clients, sometimes driving long distances, and spending many nights away from home. A determined woman,
she allows nothing to get in the way of her career, even at the cost of her social life, including romantic relationships. Her
situation is exascerbated by her employer, who seems as determined to make an example of her to others attempting to break into
a predominently male field. Thus, she does whatever it takes, and when she is asked to perform personal presentations to several
potential new clients, she jumps at the chance to prove herself as a go-to type of employee.
The trip is long, involving stops at several specialty retail outlets, and after two days, Janet begins to suffer car trouble, and
fears that her vehicle will break down before the end of the trip. This fear is nothing, however, compared to the terror she will
experience when she discovers something is haunting the long stretches of country roads in rural virginia.
