Writing News – October 2026

Greetings,

Wow…time sure does fly.  It’s already been a month since I posted my last update, and the days have been a blur.  As some know, I am not a full-time writer…well..I am and I’m not.  I put in a good number of hours every week working on both my websites – this one, for my writing, and Reincarnations.com for my functional art, which is a large portfolio site that requires a good amount of work, creating slide shows for each of the many works that have come out of that studio over the years as well as content.  I write updates on the blogs for both sites, as well as managing YouTube channels for both, creating and editing content for both.  Add to this the daily behind the scenes stuff, like checking and answering emails, looking for promotional opportunities, etc., and you end up with what amounts to a full-time job.

But, as most independent artists and authors know, these passions take time to mature, and often take some time before they become financially supportive. Like most, it is necessary for me to find additional work in order to make ends meet, and combined, this takes a good amount of time and energy.  As most are aware, I am disabled due to narcissistic/domestic and legal abuse at the hands of my former wife, where I was the victim of false allegations after a decade of abuse.  The treatment I received as a result of this exacerbated my injuries suffered during a horrific near-fatal auto accident some years ago.  Sadly, disability does not pay my bills – especially after said former wife had my payments cut nearly in half.  So, I have no choice but to attempt to find employment once again, despite dealing with severe neuropathy and chronic pain, among other things.  Combined, it occupies long weeks of long days. I get to what I can as soon as can.

Yeah, so there’s that

This is why, in the midst of more activities than I can count, I am working on two writing projects simultaneously.  The first is a screenplay of my third novel, and the second is an account of the events I described above, a great part of which is comprised of a transcribed account of those events from a journal I kept during the time.  It will be my first non-fiction work, and will be directed towards the corruption of the family court system, which gives incentive to protect those making false allegations against men.  This book will not be an easy read – more than your usual ‘prison memoir’, it was written contemporaneously, as the events unfolded.  It is even harder to write, as many of the events trigger memories and emotions forced away years ago.  Needless to say, it is a book that might anger those mentioned in it; I suspect there will even be those who try to prevent its publication. I wouldn’t be surprised, knowing the nature of those involved.

But they can all kiss my ass. Like it or not, I plan on telling my story. Hopefully, it will help someone avoid what happened to me.

All these projects are moving forward, while I also attempt to keep my somewhat happy home.  I’ll keep updating as they do.

Until Next Time,

~MV
